The kitchen cabinets are all now fully installed. The hardware is on them as well, but for some reason I didn't take a picture of that. They came out to template the counter tops on Friday and we should be getting them installed later this week.
The dry wall guys were able to dry wall the mudroom, the stairs up to the third floor, the third floor and then holes throughout the house. They are still working on finishing touches with the spackle so Jared will not be able to start up painting again until Wednesday.
Also, our appliances were delivered on Friday (all except the oven, which is on back order). We picked up our fridge that we have been storing at my aunt and uncle's house on Sunday and dropped that off too. So once the oven comes sometime this week the appliances should be all ready to be installed.
Things are moving along and we are hoping for an early February move in date.

Things Are Moving Along
Since the last time I blogged there have been some changes to the
house. Jared has started to paint with the help of some people. Most
of the house is primed. The kitchen/dining room has the first coat of
our top paint on it and all the other colors for the rest of the house
are picked out. Additionally a lot of the rooms have one coat of the
ceiling paint we are using. Jared's parent's were here yesterday and
today and had planned on putting first coats of our top paint in other
rooms on, but when they got to the house the dry wall guys had patched
holes (made by the electrician) throughout the house. So since the
spackle was wet they were not able to go ahead and start painting the
colors. They moved on to painting the baseboard trim in the bedrooms so
that can be done before the carpets get installed.
Over this past weekend the hardwood floors in the living room, dining room, kitchen and mudroom were all refinished. They look fantastic. This made us be out of the house for the entire weekend since we couldn't be on the floors.
Tuesday our kitchen cabinets were delivered and started getting installed. The cabinets should be fully installed today and I can't wait to go see them after work. I have pictures posted below from how they looked yesterday.
In the next couple of days the dry wall in the mudroom, 3rd floor attic and the stairway openings should all be getting completed. The counter top for the kitchen are going to be templated tomorrow so we should have our counter top installed next week sometime. Our appliances are being delivered tomorrow. The kitchen is starting look like a real kitchen and by next week should hopefully look pretty close to done. I think the only thing that might not be done next week in the kitchen is the tile backsplash.
Yesterday PECO came out and did some work outside to run gas to the house. The meter is getting installed tomorrow and the line PECO ran outside is going to get connected to the house tomorrow. So then we will officially have gas to run our brand new heating system.

Update
It has been a while since we have updated and a lot has been happening. We have been so busy with work and the holidays so this post is long overdue. Most of the demo work is done and the new wall for the kitchen is up. The electrician is still working on some spots throughout the house so some of the rooms do not have the new drywall up. Hopefully the electrician will finish up soon so the rest of the rooms can be finished.
All the new windows are in, I have posted some pictures below. The new HVAC and duct work is also in. They are still working on some stuff with the condensers outside but units inside in the basement and in the attic are installed. The plumber has been busy as well. When they opened up the wall in the living room where the stairs are we discovered that the water pipes for the upstairs sink run through that wall. The plumber was able to rerun this so we are still on track to have the upper half of the wall open and the lower half be a built in bookcase. Additionally the plumber has replaced the sewer line in the basement and run the piping for the new kitchen sink.
We are finally finished scrapping all the wallpaper glue off of all the bedroom walls.
Jared has started to paint some areas. He got the primer done in the kitchen/dining room space and put the first coat of the top paint on. The second coat won't go on until the cabinets are installed which should be around January 12th we believe. He also was able to prime and first coat of final paint in the new hallway behind the kitchen. The plan is to have a painting effort this weekend to try to get the primer done in most of the rest of the house and possibly start on some of the top coats. Jared's coworker Karen came over to help us pick out paint colors so we have paint picked out for all the rooms in the house, which was a huge help in aiding us to make some decisions.
We have continued to have the help of family and are very thankful for it.
